The fishing vessel Ocean Ranger ran aground near the harbor at Unalaska, Alaska. The Ocean Ranger had run up on a reef after the crew made a navigational error. The fishing vessel sustained hull damage and water ingress.  No reports of injuries or pollution released.  The Ocean Ranger was able to refloat itself and proceeded to a nearby salvage yard.

The 132 meter long, 4190 dwt tanker Volgoneft 151 ran aground on the Svir River near the 954 kilometer mark.  The Volgoneft 151 was en route to Yaroslavl from St. Petersburg when it went out of the fairway.  No reports of injuries.  The Volgoneft 151 sustained damage to its ballast tanks.  The tanker was able to refloat itself and continue to a nearby anchorage awaiting further inspection.

The 158 meter long, 12306 dwt container ship Pegasus allided with a lock gate on the Kiel Canal at Holtenau, Germany. The Pegasus was en route to Rotterdam from St. Petersburg when it struck the lock gate.  The boxship sustained scratches against the hull.  No reports of injuries or pollution released.  The Pegasus passed through the locks and berthed nearby to allow authorities to conduct an investigation.
