Shipwreck Log

The 274 meter long, 163038 dwt tanker Sea Landsort ran aground in the Suez Canal near Suez, Egypt. Reports state the tanker had run aground while heading north in a convoy.  Multiple tugs were dispatched and were able to refloat the Sea Landsort. The tanker was towed to a nearby anchorage. No reports of injuries or pollution released. The cause of the grounding was not disclosed.
