On May 21, the 28 meter long tugboat Ast Legend was blown ashore near Patenga, Bangladesh. The tug had been moored off Chittagong when Cyclone Roanu broke the anchor line. The vessel was quickly pushed ashore. No further details reported.

The 152 meter long, 10600 dwt container ship Heinrich Schepers ran aground on the Morskoy Canal, St. Petersburg, Russia. The Heinrich Schepers was departing from St. Petersburg bound for Bremerhaven when it suffered engine failure and drifted aground. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released. Reports state local tugs were able to refloat the boxship and escorted it back to port.

On May 12, the 81 meter long fishing vessel Fong Seong 666 ran aground on a reef in the Majuro Atoll, Marshall Islands. The Fong Seong 666 was headed to Port Majuro to transfer its 100 tons of skipjack tuna when it ran aground. Local authorities reported that the grounding was due to either an inexperienced crewman or someone had fallen asleep at the helm.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.  Initial efforts to refloat the purse seiner failed. On May 20, salvage team with several tugboats were able to refloat the Fong Seong 666.
