The 44 meter long fishing vessel Carmona ran aground in Concarneau, France. The Carmona was departing from the port when it became disabled after the fishing vessel suffered a technical fault and the Carmona drifted onto a sandbank. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released. A tug was dispatched to the scene and refloated the Carmona a short time later. The fishing vessel returned to port to be inspected for damage.

The 102 meter long r0-ro passenger ferry Elena caught fire while berthed in Crimea, Ukraine. The ferry had begun to maneuver away from its berth in the port when the crew spotted a thick plume of smoke along the starboard lower deck. The crew quickly responded and were able to extinguish the blaze in a few minutes. No reports of injuries or pollution released. An investigation found there was a short-circuit in one of the compartments in the lower deck which resulted in the fire. Damage was limited and after an inspection by local authorities, the Elena was allowed to continue on its schedule route across the Kerch Strait.

The 143 meter long, 17,520 dwt cargo vessel Thorco Marjanne allided with a concrete wall on the St. Lawrence River in the port of Ogdensburg, New York. The vessel was being guided by a pilot when he misjudge the approach and struck the concrete wall. The Thorco Marjanne sustained only minor damage to its bulbous bow, but the wall sustained around $20,000 of damage. No reports of injuries or pollution released.
