Sterno Aground

The 75 meter long, 1350 dwt freighter Sterno went aground just outside of  the port of Vordingborg, Denmark.  The Sterno was leaving the port after unloading its cargo when strong winds push the vessel aground.  Divers have inspected the hull for damages.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution being released.   No reports on the salvage plans for the vessel.

Steersman

The 98 meter long, 6404 dwt tanker Steersman became disabled shortly after departing from Antwerp, Belgium.  The tanker had suffered engine problems and required a tow by two tugs to Hansweert.   The problems where resolved and the vessel continued on its voyage to Milford Haven.   No reports of injuries, damage or pollution being released.

Sanko Eternal

The 169 meter long, 27917 dwt freighter Sanko Eternal sent out distress signals while off 48 35N, 150 18W.   The vessel was en route to Singapore from Portland, Oregon.  No further details reported.
