The 180 meter long, 13157 dwt car carrier Aegean Leader became disabled in the Pacific Ocean.  The Aegean Leader had departed from Toyohashi, Japan en route to Balboa, Panama when it suffered engine failure.  The vessel went adrift and was last reported between Japan and Midway Islands. No further details reported.

The 200 meter long ro-ro car carrier Morning Capo collided with the 222 meter long container ship Stadt Rostock off Xiamen, China.  The Stadt Rostock sustained damage to its starboard section of the bow.  The Morning Capo’s hull was holed in the bow. No report of injuries or pollution released.  Both vessels proceeded to a nearby anchorage where authorities conduct an inspection and investigation.  The Morning Capo was en route to Singapore from Gunsan while the Stadt Rostock was headed to Shanghai from Xiamen.

Baltic-Breeze

The 99 meter long ro-ro car carrier Neckar Highway collided with the 164 meter long car carrier Baltic Breeze in the entry section of the Pierre Vandamme lock in Zeebrugge, Belguim. The Neckar Highway was proceeding alongside the starboard side of the moored Baltic Breeze toward the lock when the Baltic Breeze shifted and the two vessel collided. No reports of injuries. The Neckar Highway proceeded to a nearby quay. The Baltic Breeze was taken under tow by 2 tugs.
