Efstratios

The 88 meter long, 2954 dwt freighter Efstratios went aground in the Aegean Sea near Agia Marina, Greece.   The vessel suffered no hull breaches and no reports of water ingress.  Attempts to refloat itself failed as the Efstratios was hard aground requiring the assistance of a salvage tug.  No injuries or pollution released.   The Efstratios was en route to an unreported Greek port with a cargo of sunflower.

Master Jet

Master Jet

The 74 meter long, 660 dwt high speed ferry Master Jet allided with the pier at Rethymnon, Greece.   The ferry was attempting to dock with 670 passengers on board with it struck the pier damaging its propeller.   No reports of injuries or pollution released.   The Master Jet was detained for repairs following an inspection.

Yaakob II

Yaakob II

The 76 meter long, 1484 dwt freighter went aground off Leipsoi Island near Leros, Greece.   The Yaakob II hull was damaged suffering water ingress.   No reports of injuries or pollution released.   A tug was requested and was reported on scene.  The Yaakob II was en route to Latakia, Syria from Aliaga, Turkey with 1500 tons of steel.
