The 129 meter long, 7212 dwt freighter Ussuri went aground in the Sea of Japan in Dzhigit Bay off Primorye, Russia.   The Ussuri was at anchor when a storm struck causing the vessel to drift until it went aground onto the rocky bottom.  The Ussuri suffered damage to its hull with its ballast tanks damaged and some water ingress into its engine room.   No reports of injuries or pollution released.   The crew requested assistance with the icebreaker Kapitan Khlebnikov responding.   The icebreaker was able to refloat the Ussuri a few days later.  The Ussuri proceeded to an anchorage to be inspected.

Ardatov

Ardatov

The 94 meter long fish-factory vessel Ardatov caught fire in the Sea of Japan near Primorye, Russia.  The crew of 53 on board were able to extinguish the blaze, but it left the vessel disabled without power.  A tug was dispatched to the scene to take the Ardatov under tow. No one was injuried and no pollution was released.
