On October 14, the 200 meter long cargo vessel Saga Falcon allided with a quay at Rostock, Germany. The Saga Falcon was proceeding to its berth with a pilot on board struck the quay.  The vessel sustained hull damage with it holed above the waterline. The stern of the Saga Falcon struck a crane on the quay damaging it.  No reports of injuries or pollution released. Reports state the water police has launched an investigation into the incident.

On July 5, the 59 meter long hopper dredger HH 305 allided with the berthed fishing vessel Jan Maat in Rostock, Germany. The Jan Maat sustained damage to its port hull with four meters long gash and some water ingress.  The  HH 305 was undamaged.  No reports of injuries and no pollution released.

Anastasia

The 225 meter long, 75331 dwt bulk carrier Anastasia allided while mooring in Rostock, Germany. The Anastasia struck a grain elevator causing damage to the elevator.  The Anastasia had suffered slight damage to its foreship.  No reports of injuries or pollution released. Reports state the vessel had a pilot on board at the time and a tug was assisting the mooring operation.
