Schillig Allision

Schillig Allision

While the 34 meter long motor vessel Schillig was entering the outer port of Hooksiel, Germany, the vessel suffered engine failure and went adrift.   The Schillig’s crew was able to get the engine restarted, but not in time before the Schillig had  allided with the northern jetty.   The vessel’s forepeak was dented and the hull was holed above the waterline.  The Schillig was towed to Wilhelmshaven to be drydocked for repairs.
