Fishing Vessel Ashore
The 40 foot fishing vessel Miss Elora went ashore near the mouth of the Gray’s Harbor, Washington. The Coast Guard received a report that the Miss Elora was aground. They responded sending its 47 motor lifeboat and a Jayhawk helicopter to the scene. However, the two men on board were able to reach shore on their own using the vessel’s dinghy. The crew of the Miss Elora was able to recover some 100 gallons of fuel, but some 250 gallons was released into the water. Officals are working with the fishing vessel’s owner to recover debris.
