Hamburg
The 85 meter long self-propelled barge Hamburg went aground on the Ijssel River near Zutphen, Netherlands. The vessel was riding high as it was proceeding with no cargo when it approached a bridge. The vessel would not be able to pass safely underneath the bridge when the Hamburg suffered an engine failure. The master swerved the Hamburg away from the bridge and went aground. The Hamburg was refloated later the same day. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution being released.
