The fishing vessel Prudence became disabled some 100 miles from Gloucester, Massachusetts.  The Prudence had suffered engine failure and had gone adrift.   The four crew on board contacted the Coast Guard for assistance.   The Coast Guard Cutter Moray responded to the scene.  The Moray took the fishing vessel under tow and proceeded to Portland, Maine.   No reports of injuries, damage or pollution being released.

FPSO Cidade de Paraty

The 328 meter long, 265,243 dwt storage / crude oil tanker Cidade de Paraty became disabled while off Cape Town, South Africa.  The FPSO Cidade de Paraty had problems with the generator and required to be towed back to False Bay for repairs.   A tug was dispatched to the scene, but bad weather prevented the towing until the following day.  No reports of injuries or pollution being released.
