Tugboats Sink

Two tugs boats sank on the Mississippi River near mile marker 102.   The two tugs sank in the early morning with one crew on board.   The crewman was able to escape safely with no injuries.   The Coast Guard deployed oil booms around the sunken vessels as some 3,000 gallons of diesel fuel was released into the water.   An investigation into the sinking has been launched by officials.
