The 31 meter long ferry Langeoog 1 became disabled while off Langeoog, Germany.  The ferry’s propeller had been fouled by rope went adrift.  Another vessel pulled alongside and aided the Langeoog 1 to a sandbar where the ferry was beached.  The following low tide, both vessels were high and dry allowing the crew of the Langeoog 1 to clear the rope.  The vessels were refloated on the following high tide.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

The 14 meter long fishing vessel Sans Spe II ran aground of Point Ferret, France.  The Sans Spe II was fishing for cuttlefish and sole when  its propeller was fouled by a wooden pontoon.  The fishing vessel was disabled and drifted until it washed ashore onto the beach.  No injuries to the 4 crew on board.  The vessel remained high and dry until the following rising tide.  Assisted by another fishing vessel, the Sans Spe II was refloated and towed  to Arachon.  No reports of pollution released.
