HH 305

On July 5, the 59 meter long hopper dredger HH 305 allided with the berthed fishing vessel Jan Maat in Rostock, Germany. The Jan Maat sustained damage to its port hull with four meters long gash and some water ingress.  The  HH 305 was undamaged.  No reports of injuries and no pollution released.

On July 5, the oil rig Rumailah keeled over in the Al Shaheen field off the coast of Qatar. The Rumailah had one of its jack-up legs collapse, but did not sink. The crew on board were able to escape safely and no damage was reported to the oil field facilities. The Rumailah was taken to a nearby shipyard for repairs.

The 26 meter long tugboat Nadir became disabled off Myre, Norway. The Nadir was towing a pontoon barge from Sortland when it suffered engine problems.  A NSSR lifeboat was dispatched and took the Nadir and pontoon under tow to Myre.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
