The 95 meter long self-propelled tanker-barge Johannes P ran aground on the Lek River near Vreeswijk, Netherlands. The vessel had suffered engine failure and went adrift. The crew of the Johannes P was able to drop anchor avoiding going aground. Another barge arrived a short time later and towed the Johannes P to a nearby jetty. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution.
