Fire off Newfoundland

A fishing vessel based out of Englee caught fire while off St. Anthony, Newfoundland, Canada.  The vessel with 5 men on board sent out a distress signal.   A nearby vessel reached the scene and pulled four crewmen, all in lifesuits, out of the water.  A Coast Guard helicopter also reached the scene and pulled the last crewman out of the water, but he only had a life-jacket.   He was non-responsive and later pronounced dead.  The four survivors were taken to Lewisporte and later to hospital.   Canada authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident.
