Luminous Ace

Luminous Ace

The 188 meter long cargo vessel Luminous Ace went aground on the Columbia River near mile marker 40.   The vessel went aground after an electrical outage cause the vessel to lose steering.   The crew dropped anchor to avoid the vessel to drift further.   The Coast Guard responded sending a helicopter to do an aerial inspection finding no signs of pollution being released.  While anchored, the crew was able to regain power back on the Luminous Ace.   Tugs will assist in releasing the vessel at the next high tide.   No reports of injuries or damage.
