The 10 meter long trawler KW-2 Astrid became disabled off Scheveningen, Netherlands after a pipe in the cooling system broke. The broken pipe allowed seawater to flow into the engine room. The crew contacted the KNRM who dispatched the lifeboat to the scene. The lifeboat took the Astrid under tow back to Scheveningen. None of the 2 crew on the Astrid were injured.
The 63 meter long, 1806 gt trawler Andøybuen suffered a fire on board while fishing off Kvaloya, Troms, Norway. The crew contacted the Coast Guard who dispatched a lifeboat and helicopter to the scene. Reports state the crew was able to gain control over the fire. None of the 20 crew was injured.
