Fishing Vessel Capsizes
The 40 foot long fishing vessel Dawn capsized as it was leaving the harbour at Petersburg, Alaska. The vessel rolled over to starboard and began to sink. One crewman was able to climb out and reach the dock while the other crewman was forced to jump into the frigid waters and swim to a nearby vessel. No reports of injuries. An oil boom was placed around the vessel as some pollution was released. The vessel was not insured.
