BF Fortaleza

BF Fortaleza

The 121 meter long, 6800 dwt container ship BF Fortaleza became stranded at Emden, Germany.  The BF Fortaleza was attempted to moor when it became stuck onto an embankment.   The vessel was undamaged, but a piling at the quay was damaged.   No reports of injuries or pollution released.   The container ship was being refitted after a long lay up.

Scan Trans

Scan Trans

The 52 meter long, 750 dwt freighter Scan Trans became disabled off the island of Hitra, Norway.   The Scan trans had damaged its rudder and was unable to drop anchor.  The Scan Trans was assisted by the fishing vessel Smaragd before a NSSR lifeboat took the vessel under tow.   The vessels proceeded to Hestvika where the Scan Trans safely moored.   No reports of injuries or pollution released.

Morsum

Morsum

The 140 meter long, 11000 dwt container ship Morsum became disabled in the Kiel Canal near Levensau, Germany.   The Morsum had suffered engine failure requiring the vessel to be taken under tow to Kiel.  A few hours later the Morsum was able to continue on its voyage to Klaipeda.   No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
