The 77 foot long fishing vessel Lori Ann went aground  in the harbour at New Bedford, Massachusetts.  The vessel had been blown free from its mooring during heavy gales and went hard aground near the hurricane barrier.   A tug was requested and attempted to refloat the Lori Ann during the next high tide.  However, the high winds and shallow water kept the fishing vessel stuck in the mud.   The Lori Ann’s fuel and water will be removed before another salvage attempt will be made.  No reports of injuries or pollution released.
