The 85 meter long self-propelled barge Christiane went aground on the River Main near Dettelbach, Germany.   The Christiane had suffered engine failure and become disabled just after passing through the lock at Dettelbach.   A few hours later, another self-propelled barge Poseidon along with the tug Domarin 15 were able to pull the Christiane free.   The disabled Christiane was taken under tow by the Domarin 15 to Kitzingen where it will be surveyed.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.  The Christiane was loaded with 970 tons of steel coils bound from Wipfeld Mannheim.
