EXPRESS 1

The 100 meter long, 1550 dwt livestock carrier Express 1 became disabled on the Elbe.   The Express 1 was headed to Ust-Luga from Philadelphia when it suffered a power blackout and went adrift.   No injuries, damage or pollution released.  Two tugs were dispatched and took the Express 1 under tow to Cuxhaven.  No further details reported.

MARQUISE

The 173 meter long freighter Marquise became disabled off Yeniköy, Turkey.  The freighter was en route to Piräus from Yuzhny with 25,667 tons of wheat when it lost power and went adrift.  The Turkish Coast Guard dispatched a lifeboat and two tugs to the scene.  The Marquise was taken under town and safely moored at Beykoz Bay.  No reports of injuries to the 23 crew on board.  No damage or pollution released.
