The 74 meter long, 1150 dwt cargo vessel Zuzanna allided while attempting to berth at Stensarmen in Tønsberg, Norway.  The crew of the Zuzanna had lost control of the vessel in the strong currents and the vessel bow and stern allided against the piers.  The Zuzanna nearly struck a nearby bridge before the crew was able to regain control and berth the cargo vessel.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

The 90 foot long former Brixham trawler Provident became disabled off St. Michaels Mount near Newlyn,  Cornwall.  The Provident was en route to Isles of Scilly from Falmouth with 13 persons on board  when it suffered a mechanical breakdown.  The crew contacted the RNLI who dispatched an all weather lifeboat to the scene.   The lifeboat Ivan Ellen arrived a few  minutes later and towed the Provident to Newlyn Harbour.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

JR 3 Sank

On June 20, 2014, the towboat JR 3 sank on the Mississippi River near Wood River, Illinois.  The vessel quickly sank from an unknown cause.  All three crewman on board were able to abandon ship before the vessel sank.  No reports of injuries.  Local authorities arrived on scene and deployed booms around the vessel.   A short time later fuel and pollution was spotted coming from the sunken JR 3.   Reports state a salvage plan is being worked on to raise the JR 3.  The Coast Guard has launched an investigation into the incident.
