The 90 foot long former Brixham trawler Provident became disabled off St. Michaels Mount near Newlyn,  Cornwall.  The Provident was en route to Isles of Scilly from Falmouth with 13 persons on board  when it suffered a mechanical breakdown.  The crew contacted the RNLI who dispatched an all weather lifeboat to the scene.   The lifeboat Ivan Ellen arrived a few  minutes later and towed the Provident to Newlyn Harbour.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
