The 50 foot fishing vessel Mokulele ran aground near the shore of Koki Beach, Oahu, Hawaii.  The Mokulele was returning to port in Maalaea when it ran aground in shallow water. No reports of injuries to the 2 crew on board.  Damage was not reported, but authorities reported that diesel fuel could be smelled in the area.  The Mokulele had some 100 gallons of fuel on board at the time.

The 110 meter long self-propelled tanker-barge Eternity ran aground on the Wester Scheldt at Hansweert, Netherlands. The Eternity was proceeding with flammable liquids when it ran aground. Authorities were alerted and tugs were dispatched to the scene. The tugs were able to refloat the tanker and the vessels proceeded to Amsterdam. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

The 292 meter long bulk carrier Samjohn Legacy allided with a quay in the port of Narvik, Norway.  The bulker was docked when strong wind gusts caused the vessel to break from its moorings.  The Samjohn Legacy drifted into a newly built quay causing little damage. Two tugboats reacted quickly and regain control over the bulker.  The tugs maneuvered the Samjohn Legacy out of the harbor into a secured anchorage. No reports of injuries or pollution released.
