The 130 meter long, 11258 dwt tanker Ternvind ran around in Gäveskär near Brännö, Sweden. The Ternvind had become disabled after a power failure while en route to Denmark. The tanker went adrift and ran ashore with the bow nearly high and dry. The Coast Guard were alerted and arrived a short time later. An inspection found the Ternvind had sustained some damage, but the hull had not been breached and no pollution was released.  An hour later the Ternvind was refloated and proceeded to Lindoe for repairs. No reports of injuries.
