Queen Mary 2 Fire

The 345 meter long, 19189 dwt passenger ship Queen Mary 2 suffered an engine room fire while en route to Quebec, Canada.  The fire started in one of the vessel’s gas turbines located below and behind the vessel’s funnel.   The fire was quickly put out by the crew with minimal damage.    No one was injured and the vessel proceeding on its voyage.
