The 111 meter long, 7078 dwt chemical tanker May 1 became disabled near Colachel, India.  The tanker was en route to Mangalore from Port Klang when it suffered engine failure.   No reports of injuries or pollution released.  The May 1 has been reported to be headed to Colachel for repairs.
