The 70 meter long self-propelled barge Diana Maria ran aground on the Danube near Ruckasing, Germany. The Diana Maria was headed to Straubing from Novi Sad with 1600 tons of soy when it passed on the wrong side of a navigation buoy and ran aground off the fairway.

Reports state the Diana Maria was refloated the next day with the water police and local authorities on scene. The barge proceeded to Deggendorf where the vessel was inspected for damage. Initial investigation revealed the master of the Diana Maria did not immediately report of the grounding and attempted to free itself causing gravel warping. No reports of injuries or pollution released.
