The fishing vessel Daiki Maru 7  went ashore in Apra Harbor, Guam.  The fishing vessel had suffered water ingress and was in danger of sinking when the vessel struck the offshore reef capsizing onto it’s port side.  The 10 crewmen on board requested assistance with 2 US Naval helicopter responding.   All 10 crewmen were hoisted to safety.  No reports of injuries.   Divers inspected the hull to ensure fuel vents were closed.   A few days later authorities removed hazardous materials including the vessel’s batteries to minimize the environmental impact.  No details were reported on a salvage plan to remove the vessel.
