The 169 meter long container ship Flottbek ran aground on the Kiel Canal near Oldenbüttel, Germany.  The Flottbek was en route to Rotterdam from Gdynia when it suffered engine failure and ran onto an embankment.  A tug was dispatched to the scene and was able to aid the Flottbek to refloat itself.  The Flottbek was able to continue on its voyage under its own power.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
