The 18 meter long fishing vessel Dorus ZK 67 ran aground on the Westgat near Lauwersoog, Netherlands. The trawler had become stuck on a sandbar with the falling tide and could not free itself.  A KNRM lifeboat responded and attempted to pull the Dorus free, but the current was too strong.  Additional helped arrived and the combined effort was also not able to budge the fishing vessel free.  The KNRM lifeboat transferred the crew off the Dorus ZK 67 and took them to Lauwersoog.  No reports of injuries or pollution released.
