The 135 meter long self-propelled barge Trifels went aground on the Rhine River near Linkenheim, Germany.  The Trifels had veered off course and struck a submerged crib.   No reports of injuries to the four crew on board.  Another vessel was able to attach a towline and pulled the Trifels free the next day.   The Trifels was able to continue on to Karslruhe under its own power.  Reports state the grounding was due to human error.
