Adriana

The 80 meter long, 1130 dwt self-propelled barge Adriana allided with a dock at Emden, Germany.  The Adriana’s hull was holed in the bow and there was water ingress.   To avoid sinking, the Adriana was driven onto a mud bank.  No reports of injuries or pollution being released.   The water police responded and supplied a dewatering pump.  With the pump installed, the Adriana tried and failed to pull itself off the mud.  A tug was requested and the vessel was pulled free the next day.  The water police is conducting an investigation into the incident.
